As visible and available as Bob is in the community, there are still some folks who don’t yet know who he really is. If you’re a friend or admirer of Bob, here’s an opportunity for you to help get the word out as we get closer and closer to election day.
What can you do? Plenty. And there’s really nothing that takes a lot of time. Dedication, yes. But very little time. Here are some suggestions …
Visit your favorite small business establishments and offer them a stack of Bob’s ‘palm cards'. Each election year we offer these as a way of explaining the important issues of the day and reviewing Bob’s recent accomplishments in the State Senate. It’s important folks know Bob really is standing up for all of us in Hartford.
We also have clear static-cling decals, not too big, that would look nice in any shop window. Maybe even the corner of your car’s windshield. Oh, we have bumper stickers too.
Of course we have the traditional lawn signs. What would the elections be without lawn signs? We get a lot of compliments on ours, probably because they just look a lot nicer than what folks usually see. Take one for yourself and two more for your friends.
We thought it would be nice to have supply depots throughout Norwalk and Darien. This way folks wouldn’t need to trudge all the way out to Bob and Tracey’s home every time they need campaign materials. So if you have some room in a closet or the garage, and you wouldn’t mind another friend of Bob’s stopping by, let us know.
We deliver too, so if you've always had a secret desire to be the pizza delivery guy (or gal) this might just fit the bill. We’ll give you a small supply of campaign materials (mostly lawn signs) and call you when someone nearby needs something. No need to deliver in 30 minutes or less. Twenty-four hours would suit us just fine.
Here’s something you can do that won’t take much effort at all. Just tell all your friends to visit Bob’s website. BobDuff.com. That’s pretty easy to remember.
See how many people you can get to friend Bob on Facebook. We’re not quite sure what value there is in that, but you gotta admit, having thousands, or tens of thousand of Facebook friends, is pretty cool. Hey, you send all your friends to Bob’s Facebook page and we promise we’ll get him to spend more time there.
We have more planned, a lot more, but some things we want to keep hush-hush for now. We promise they’ll all be fun!
